THREE relatives of former Tivoli Gardens don Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke were among 20 persons who yesterday turned themselves in to the West Kingston police — a day after they were listed as ‘persons of interest’.

Police said the three — Leighton ‘Livity’ Coke (brother) and Lanchester and Javien Coke — turned up at the Denham Town Police Station and were questioned and released. A number of the persons who turned themselves in were still being questioned up to press time last night.

Coke’s relatives were among 34 persons listed by the police as persons of interest on Tuesday. The names of another 13 wanted men were also released.

“We will be re-issuing the names for those persons who failed to come in and talk to the police; and if they fail to comply we will be going out to search for them,” the police said yesterday.

Meanwhile, yesterday, several women from Tivoli Gardens disputed the police’s list and challenged the lawmen to go find the people who were responsible for the upsurge of crime in the area.

The placard-bearing women, who gathered near the Denham Town Police Station, said the persons who the police listed were innocent.

“A lot of the men who dem asking to come in are innocent. Dem don’t have anything to do with what is going on in the area,” said one of the protesting women.
