The Netherlands have decided not to file a protest against the Jamaican men in the 4x100m relay team.

OBSERVER ONLINE has learnt that after the Dutch team watched the video, they agreed that the obstruction was not substantive.

So, after lodging the protest, they decided not to formally file a protest.

The Dutch were originally protesting that Asafa Powell ran into the path of the Netherlands after he made the baton exchange to Rasheed Dwyer.

The Jamaican team of Nesta Carter, Asafa Powell, Rasheed Dwyer, and Nickel Ashmeade clocked 37.41 seconds to win the second heat.

The Netherlands finished sixth in a season’s best 38.41 seconds.
