There’s a call coming from within the Opposition People’s National Party for former Finance Minister and PNP Campaign Director, Dr. Peter Phillips, to take the principal blame for the party being voted out of office in the February 25 General Election.
PNP insiders have laid much of the blame for the party’s election loss on the shoulders of the party’s embattled General Secretary, Paul Burke.
But losing PNP candidate in West Rural St. Andrew, Paul Buchanan, says Dr. Peter Phillips must share some of the blame.
Mr. Buchanan says Phillips should account for leading an election campaign which lacked direction.
Mr. Buchanan says he wonders whether Dr. Phillips lacked the foresight to realize his focus on Andrew Holness’ Beverly Hills house was not working

The former MP says he means not personal offence to Dr. Phillips.
But he says the PNP Campaign Director dropped the ball in not focusing enough on counteracting issues which led to the PNP being a 1-term administration for the first time in its history.
