Investigators and forensic experts have found a body in the makeshift grave found inside a house in West End, Negril, Westmoreland.
Detectives believe that a missing woman and her child were killed and buried there.
The recovered body is said to be that of the mother.
The grave is still being excavated.
Shantal Dyer, 24, and her three year-old daughter, Orlandie Miller were reported missing on Monday.
