14 year old charged for 9 year old’s murder in St. James
The 14 year old boy who is implicated in the fatal shooting of nine year old Kala Bailey in Hendon, Norwood, St. James on Friday has been charged.
It is not yet known when he will appear in court.
The teenager was charged with murder on Monday.
Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth, head of the St. James Police, who gave the update, said the gun used has still not been found.
Reports are that about 5:30 p.m., Kala was at home with another child when the 14 year old boy entered.
Shortly after, family members who were upstairs heard an explosion.
The teenager was seen running from the house.
Kala died while undergoing surgery.
The teenager was later handed over to the police.
