No wonder the country is in shambles..If these are the lawmakers and they are sleeping when they should be making laws and coming up with ideas to better the country………No wonder there is no growth in Jamaica

  1. This is a common assault when they all sit down.Who remembers the pen incident? When one politican did fling him pen afta another politician

  2. It’s not easy being a politician, so I won’t give a negative comment. While we are in our beds sleeping they have to be doing critical thinking. Carry the country’s burden on their shoulders is not an easy task, mental strain is a helluva thing. I happened to work with a well known politician for a few months, and can I tell you it hackling bad. Imagine you in your deep sleep and 2 or 3 in the morning you phone ring, somebody in your constituency has a problem, or locked up by police or was shot or need assistance to go to the hospital etc. Then they are also known businessmen, cause politics alone can’t pay them. Jamaica’s politicians are not being paid well. So from business place to constituency office, to home, is a whole heap of mental work and strain. Then you have the constituents who call to chip a few cloth every now and then, it’s not easy. Whether orange or green, it’s not an easy task. I was frustrated to a point where I had to leave the job, cause I too start losing sleep and I was like a zombie walking around trying to stay awake. Sleep deprivation not easy and mist if not all have to get prescription sleeping pills and painkillers. They’re human too not machines, no matter how tough they act it’s just a show.
