  1. ……when she was pounced on by an unknown assailant who demanded her personal belongings…

So there was an eyewitness to the robbery/murder? How did the police know that the unknown assailant (one person) demanded her “personal belongings”?

  2. Omg these man that are piggs in jamaica how can you put yourself to kill a female and you was born from a woman.Jamaican Mens need Serious help.

  3. Concerning the youths and gang violence: within most countries they have a welfare system for those who are un-employed where the unemployed can buy the necessities of life such as FOOD & hygeine products, if there was NO welfare assistance in the western countries like USA & UK there would be untold amount of violence and robberies etc and the society would collapse…

The Jamaican gov should have a welfare program especially for those who just leave out of school and college, if they go for a job interview they need to where appropriate clothes and shoes. Many youths see no way out because of lack of opportunity, they need to eat and find food everyday to survive – tell me – how is a man/woman to eat if they have NO work/income/job – where is the money to come from?

Now the basic rules of survival is if you are hungry you will do whatever to get some food…

The JA government know they need a welfare program as it is a standard necessary policy where every modern country have, but they choose not too and eat/nyam off all that money for themselves… This is all planned with a certain western country to hold down the JA people them…

    DAT MI SEH

    1. But they do have various welfare programs. They have the path program for children, they have the free healthcare for the general public and free medication for seniors, they have infirmaries, they even have a program to help poor ppl bury their dead where they are given some money, poor relief which has always been there, they have the HEART program to provide free skilled trades and things in place to help with transportation costs for those who are very poor, RADA has programs to give out free seeds and stuff to those who are willing to plant and till the soil. The govt has many welfare programs to assist the poor to uplift themselves. Some Jamaicans don’t know about the programs, but they are there. Very few ppl I know even keep a backyard garden to supplement their food. Ppl who have nothing to do all day long refuse to get up and plant two tomatoes, some callaloo, yams or anything, and I am speaking about ppl who live in the rural areas and have access to land. Just planting some veggies can make a difference in your survival. The govt nuh need to come and encourage ppl to plant a backyard garden, that nuh something they can come up with on their own. The govt already put the things in place, how can the govt force the ppl to make use of it.

I remember a Portuguese friend I had in my teen years who lived out in the countryside. The ppl plant a big patch of land full of veggies. They had their barn with dem chickens and rabbits for eggs and meat. They bottled their veggies to last them through the winter and put their potatoes in the cold room. Those folks never buy nutten out of a can, and they were not even poor, they were upper middle class ppl, quite well off and still wanted to plant and eat what dem grow. I won’t even get started on the Italians, cause every Italian home has a backyard garden no matter how small. If these ppl can plant in a country with seven months of winter, why can’t JA ppl plant and they have year round good weather.

The truth is barrel and western union culture mess up a lot of ppl ambition. The sending of things and money from abroad is in of itself a welfare program much like the welfare in the US and UK and other parts have ppl who now want to live free for the rest of their days. Even the things the govt put in place they don’t want to make use of it for their advancement. It easier to scam or kill than to go till the soil plant and sell a market. Some a dem have pimento tree wild a dem bush and dem refuse to pick it and go through the process to make it saleable, dem prefer it rotten and feed birds then complain how Jamaica hard and man haffi eat a food.

  4. Along with a welfare program there should be pro-social facilities e.g. community centers where the youths can use the computers for free and parks. In Canada the government has invested heavily on pro-social facilities and whilst there are crimes everywhere, it is not so bad in Canada.
