Bermuda recorded its first murder for 2018 on Friday when a gunman shot a man at the junction of Court Street and Elliott Street in Hamilton.
The victim is 30 year-old Taylor Grier.
National Security Minister Wayne Caines says the authorities will make sure that they meet the violence with the appropriate force.
