Pawel was out riding his motorcycle on a busy road in the London area when traffic suddenly came to a stop, and instead of waiting around, he decided to check out what the holdup was. That’s when he noticed a distressed woman sitting slumped over in the middle of the road. Without a second thought, he jumped off his bike to help the potentially suicidal woman and his helmet camera happened to record the whole thing.
After several attempts at talking to her proved unsuccessful, Pawel checked her pulse. He felt something unusual around her neck and immediately removed the rope-like cord that was choking the woman.
We’re glad this biker was at the right place at the right time.
According to an American organization called Do Something (www.dosomething.org):
Nearly 30,000 Americans commit suicide every year.
In the U.S., suicide rates are highest during the spring.
Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for 15 to 24-year-olds and 2nd for 24 to 35-year-olds.
If you know of someone who may be threatening to commit suicide or who would just like more information and someone to talk to, reach out.
