A four year old girl has been admitted to hospital after she was chopped on Friday morning by a man believed to be of unsound mind in Charles Town, St. Mary.
It is reported that about 7 o’clock, the girl was on her way to school when she was chopped in the head.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Norman Heywood said the man was later attacked by residents and had to be rescued by police.
He is being treated in hospital.
