Cliff Hughes spoke to Sidoney Smith the sister of young man Demar Smith who was killed in St. Ann on Friday. The sister of the young man denied that they knew that the girl was underage and said that the family came to know her a week before she passed away. The young woman said she was told that the girl was twenty-one , her mother spoke to her a few weeks ago when she was sick and in the hospital , requesting that her mother pray for her. Sidoney told Mr. Hughes that the young woman told her mother that a ‘ blow’ was sent for her bother and because she was home alone she caught the ‘blow’. The youngster was admitted in St. Anns Bay hospital for a period of three months.
The youngster was said to have been left with an aunt and her father was not told she was missing from her aunt’s home even after being with Demar Smith for a week.
