DON’T BE DISCOURAGED!
until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Acts 1:2 – 3
The disciples were shattered by the death of Jesus. He had told them several times about His death and resurrection but they probably assumed that He was not going to be conquered by death because they had seen Him raise Lazarus, the widow’s son and other folks from the dead. They thought even if they tried to kill Him, He will walk away from them just as He walked away when they tried to throw Him off the cliff because of the miracles He performed. But to their utter dismay, He was arrested, judged, condemned, flogged, disrobed, given a cross to carry up the hill to cavalry, and nailed to a cross, mocked by one of the thieves who hung by His side, died and was buried in a borrowed tomb.
So, even when He rose from the dead, it was tough for them to believe that it was really Jesus. Thomas demanded evidence while others probably kept their doubts to themselves. But Jesus was a good and understanding master. He appeared to them several times and proved to them that He was truly alive. Jesus is doing the same today all over the world. Everytime the gospel is preached, He is present with signs and wonders to prove to His children that He is alive. I bring you good news today and you will see the evidence in the healing, deliverance, financial breakthrough and blessings that will flood your life in the mighty name of Jesus!
