The New Living Translation of today’s Bible reverence reads: “The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed but the Lord will protect his people”. The devil is artful in devising adversity against the children of God. There is no end or limit to what the devil will do to orchestrate the downfall of a child of God.
Sometimes trouble knocks on your door and you cannot give a logical reason for its sudden appearance or trace where it is coming; for instance, yesterday you went to bed healthy and happy and today you’ve woken up with an excruciating pain in your body. This happens sometimes when you think your relationship with God is perfect and you are carefully doing all what is expected of you as a Christian. The reality is that trouble does not only come to us because we have sinned.
Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, the way, the truth and the light was led into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil just after He concluded a forty day fast. But the good news is that, just as the Spirit of God gave our Lord Jesus victory over everything the devil brought against Him, you will have victory by that same Spirit in the mighty name of Jesus. Moreover, you are no longer oppressed because Jesus, our Lord and saviour has paid the price for our freedom.
Liberation thought: God is our refuge and shield, a very present help in times of trouble. :
