Following a surge in murders in the parish, the Police High Command has released the names of the parish’s five most wanted men.
They are: Yasser James, alias Fry Eye; Ricardo Garvey, alias Trouper; Nigel Anthony White, Clive Campbell, otherwise called Bully; and Richardo Robinson, alias Travis.
The men are wanted for murder, illegal possession of firearm and other serious crimes.
In addition to the parish’s five most wanted men, the police have listed: Roy Mitcheal (‘Laddy’), George Miller (‘Lobster’), Leon Lloyd Ricard (‘Brown Dog’), Vernon Sharer (‘Vandam’), Joshua Anderson (‘German’), Eric Clarke (‘Legacy’), Dean Smithson (‘Raffle’), O’Brien Greenfield (‘Terran’), Ricardo Campbell (‘Red Eye), and Hakeem Ofsted (‘Okra’), who they say are wanted for questioning in connection with a number of crimes committed in the parish.
Commanding officer for Area One, Assistant Commissioner of Police Winchroy Budhoo, described the men as armed and dangerous.
“These persons are armed and dangerous. Those persons who know of their whereabouts are to call 119 or the nearest police station. Please help us to help you,” ACP Budhoo pleaded at a community meeting put on by the Police High Command in conjunction with the Hanover Police Division at the Lucea United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands on Thursday.
Among those who participated in the meeting were representatives of Northern Caribbean University, Citizens Security and Justice Programme, Unite For Change, and Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse. The meeting followed a walk-through of several communities in Hanover recently affected by crime.
Last week six members of one family were murdered in the March Town area of the Green Island Police Division in Hanover.
