I know you have a wide audience and I often find myself on your page reading the stories which I love so I thought maybe you can post this story.
I need help on this project and I am asking you all your assistance.
My name is Torie Johnson, assistant marketing manager of a non for profit organization called Children of Promise. Our program is located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn in which crime is high and the opportunities for the children are few. In the location that we have acquired a space, there’s a storage room, which will hopefully become our library. Right now it is filled with books that are of no use to the primary school — outdated textbooks that are rotting away and inexplicable, inappropriate donations from long ago. We want to ultimately create a safe space for our kids to stay out of trouble but also gain a place to learn outside of school. I am asking for help to order books and create an environment in which these children can enjoy and feel safe without the worries of the world.
