Have Jamaicans always been this upset about carnival or is it only an issue now that yall own people are participating/embracing in another culture? Don’t shoot the messenger now just asking a question bcus tbh i don’t see the issue, carnival costumes have as been revealing since I was a little girl. so why is it an issue now. Back then carnival wasn’t celebrated in Ja but it seems like now that it’s presence is making a mark people are made at others for participating. its kinda hypocritical to me bcus other islands accept dancehall and all it “slackness”
