KING ALARM DISMISSES FEMALE SECURITY GUARD

King Alarm has dismissed the female security guard who was seen kicking a licensed firearm holder last Monday at an apartment complex on Braemar Avenue in St Andrew.

King Alarm managing director John Azar said she was one of three officers who was sanctioned by the company.

The penalised officers were involved in a video circulating on social media that showed King Alarm guards aggressively attempting to subdue a licensed firearm holder after he discharged his firearm and reportedly injured a resident security guard at an apartment complex in New Kingston.

Two other male officers involved in the incident, one who was seen slapping the man, has retained an attorney and are to face a disciplinary hearing.

The third guard, who was the supervisor, was sent on suspension for failure to take charge of the situation on the day.

Azar made the disclosure at a press briefing this morning.

More information later.
