Two men accused of abducting and raping a 12 year old girl were offered bail on Tuesday when they appeared before the St. Andrew Parish Court.
The accused were charged last month following an investigation by CISOCA into the incident which occurred in the Kingston East police division.
It is reported that the two were among a group of 12 men, most of them teenagers, who took the child to a house where she was repeatedly raped.
The cops are still searching for the other suspects.
The defendants, who were offered bail in the sum of $150,000 and $250,000 respectively, are to return to court on October 6.
Why bail them ???
Jamaica needs to start to hold serious offenders in custody. The judicial system is far too slow already so why release them into the community to potentially do more damage ???
Mr Prime Minister and esteemed Judges – these are your questions, so any connected UPT over here peeping please ask them for me
Maybe bailing him isn’t so bad because it present an excellent opportunity for jungle justice or potential suicide. ..ijs.
That is so true JJ would be the best solution, society would be much better off without him
