Information Minister Sandrea Falconer, says sections of the media were harsh, irresponsible and dishonest in addressing concerns regarding whether she spoke the truth when she said the UK Government had requested that no questions from the press be allowed during British Prime Minister, David Cameron’s recent visit.
Eyebrows were raised last Thursday when UK High Commissioner to Jamaica, David Fitton said the UK certainly did not make such a request.
A day later the UK diplomat backtracked and said Falconer spoke the truth.
Senator Falconer began the Jamaica House briefing this morning with an over 7-minute long statement during which she rebuked sections of the media.
Falconer said she’d made efforts to have the media facilitated during David Cameron’s visit to Jamaica.
Minister Falconer lectured the media on the use what she described as “awesome freedoms.”
And Senator Falconer says a statement from the Press Association of Jamaica, PAJ, that it’s disgraceful that Jamaica House has restricted access to Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, is all a matter of perception.
The Information Minister was today asked to say when the Prime Minister Simpson Miller would be making herself available at a media conference to answer questions.
Just another pollutician. Bitch looks like a turtle with no shell.
Nuh wonder they call her ‘Miss Piggy’, the resemblance is uncanny.
