SUSPECT HELD IN BRANDON MURRAY’S SHOOTING

The police have arrested a suspect in connection with the contract style killing of businessman Brandon Murray.

The suspect was picked up more than a week ago by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB).

He is scheduled to face identification parades.

Mr. Murray, the proprietor of Murray’s Jerk Centre in Clarendon, was shot dead by gunmen at the Mayfair Hotel on West Kings House Close in St. Andrew on June 10.

The businessman was staying at the hotel with his family when he was attacked in the car park and shot several times.

Two suspects were seen running from the hotel after the shooting.

Investigators have been reviewing CCTV footage as they search for clues to Mr. Murray’s killers.

A senior officer told RJR News that spent shells collected at the scene match those found at another murder scene, suggesting that Mr. Murray was shot by contract killers.
