THREE KIDNAPPERS ARRESTED IN MANCHESTER

Three men travelling in a Toyota Corolla motorcar were yesterday arrested after reportedly accosting an group of teens on the Kendal main road in Manchester.

Christiana lawmen were quick in apprehending the men shortly after an alarm was raised. Reports from the police are that officers in the area intercepted the vehicle, about 4:50 pm, just as the men attempted to escape.

The Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force did not detail the nature of the attack on the teens, nor the number in the group.

The lawmen however reported that the men and the motorcar were searched and a Glock pistol with a magazine containing 17 9mm rounds of ammunition was found.

The men are expected to be charged with breaches of the Firearms Act, after they are questioned.

The teens, whose gender the police did not disclose, escaped unhurt.
