Turn A New Leaf
“’Come now, and let us reason together,’ says the Lord, ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
Isaiah 1:18
Nothing is as refreshing as the hope and assurance that God continually gives us. God knows that if He does not call us back to Him constantly and remind us of His love for us, we are likely to languish in self-condemnation and waste our entire life in sin and wanton prodigality.
The word of God today wants us to turn a new leaf; if we would reason together with God concerning our lives and our ways, individually and collectively. “…we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” (Isa 64:6). That’s the truth as declared by the Spirit of God. Yet God would not let us continue in sin; He is ever willing to hear us and to avail us of His abounding mercy and grace.
When we reason together with Him and confess our sins to Him, God avails us His ministry of forgiveness and reconciliation through Jesus Christ, and restores us blameless to partake of everlasting life. Nothing can be more refreshing and fulfilling than reasoning together with God today, and submitting our lives through Jesus, the Son, that He may wash us white as snow, pure and smooth as wool from the crimsonness of our sins. As you reason together with God this morning, remind Him of His promises concerning your business and finance, marriage and family, and whatsoever wherein you desire in life.
