Jamaica’s most decorated female athlete Veronica Campbell Brown ran a world leading 22.60 seconds (1.6m/s) to win the 200m at the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Florida.

Her time is faster than the previous best of 22.76 seconds set by American Candace Hill in Atlanta earlier this month.

Barbadian Crystal Emmanuel was second with 22.86 seconds with American Destiny Carter in third place in 22.92 seconds.

Campbell Brown, who turns 35 years old in May, has indicated she will be trying to make the Jamaican team to the IAAF World Championships in London this summer.
