Man convicted of bedding a married woman
onvicted of snatching and bedding a married woman in Chiweshe.
Appearing before chief Makope’s village court Matiyenga pleaded guilty to bedding Blessing Kafushira, the wife of Knowledge Kambanje.
The court heard that Matiyenga and Kafushira’s affair came to light after Kambanje was tipped about it and hatched a plan to catch them.
He caught them in a compromising position in his house and approached chief Makope for justice.
Matiyenga was ordered to compensate Kambanje with one beast because of the infidelity. Kambanje forgave his cheating wife.
According to Chief Makope cases of infidelity are on the increase in his area of jurisdiction hence the need for punishment to those found wanting.
“Cases of infidelity are on the increase but we will not take anything to chance, the culprits will be punished,” he said.
