A 48-year-old Bulawayo woman, Simangaliso Muringi, has sought the court’s assistance to compel her hubby to be intimate with her.
Muringi has gone for twelve straight years without indulging in sex with her 56 year old husband- Charles Muringi.
The pair has been together for 24 years.
Charles is a transport officer at Mpilo Hospital.
Simangaliso says Charles has even deserted the matrimonial bedroom to sleep in the other room.
Even buying a new bed has not helped.
“The respondent is my husband and we have been legally married for 24 years with three children.
“My husband has been denying me sex for twelve years.
“We are now sleeping in separate bedrooms and I tried to have the issue solved but to no avail.
“I even tried my best to lure him back into the bedroom by buying a new bed. But all my efforts were in vain. I want him back in our bedroom. I am also failing to understand why he left the bedroom as he frequently visits it when changing his clothes.”
In response, Charles said “the applicant drinks alcohol and the other reason why I decided to desert our bedroom is that she utters bad words against me”.
Magistrate, Evylene Mashavakureve ordered Charles to stop abusing his wife.
