The Bay County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the case of missing child Isabella Heffernan, age 10, who was last seen at 10 pm yesterday at her home on Nonawood Road when she went to bed. The BCSO was called at 11:24 am this morning when family reported the child missing.
The BCSO Air Unit, BCSO Mounted Posse, Bay County Search and Rescue, and the BCSO K9 Unit conducted a search in the area she went missing.
Isabella was found at 4:20 this afternoon in a large field behind her home, deceased.
BCSO Criminal Investigations developed Fredrick Matthew Lochridge, age 16, as the suspect. Lochridge is Isabella Heffernan’s brother. He has been charged with an Open Count of Murder.
