The police have charged a makeup artist for the murder of fashion designer, Dexter ‘3D’ Pottinger, whose body was found decomposed in his St Andrew home last week.
The murder accused is 21-year-old Romario Brown, a tattoo and makeup artist of Rocky Valley, Stony Hill in St. Andrew.
Brown was charged on Tuesday evening. A court date is to be announced soon.
He was apprehended in St Ann last Friday.
Pottinger’s body was found on Thursday evening, when a concerned relative accompanied by a friend, went to visit him after being unable to make contact with him.
They later found Pottinger in a state of decomposition.
The police were contacted and initial investigations showed that Pottinger received several stab wounds over his body.
It was reported that neighbours heard Pottinger calling out for assistance a day before the discovery of his body, but no one contacted the police.
His vehicle — a 2017 Honda CR-V — and a television were missing from the house.
The police found the car abandoned in the Stony Hill area late Thursday evening, while the television set and the murder weapon was allegedly found at the house of the accused man.
Pottinger was discovered by Saint International and ventured into modelling. He then switched to fashion designing, where designed for several dancehall and corporate personalities.

I have to put some of the blame on the authorities because he already murdered a woman last year and even stole her laptop in the process, he should have never been given bail.

Some murder cases are easy to solved especially when the victim is killed by someone close and the victim is killed at their place. It nuh tek a rocket scientist to solve most gay killings as the pattern is the same in most of these killings. So, the case solved quick because the gays talk and give out information, a lot of murders are done by strangers who has no connection to the victim so those are hard to solved. A man in mobay may get a man from kingston to do a killing, a man from kingston may get a man from as far as florida to do a killing, when there is a total stranger from a different place that does contract killings, it is hard to solved. When you have a domestic killing it is easier to solve, wether hetrosexual, bi sexual or homosexual. Suh is not because of the lifestyle why it solve so quick, passion crimes are easy to crack, think about it logically people n dont be ignorant, arrogant n use lifestyle as a excuse y this was solved quick.
