4PPL SHOT EXECUTION STYLE IN PHILADELPHIA BASEMENT

Two men and two women were found shot and killed execution-style in a Philadelphia basement, police said Monday.

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross Jr. said at a press conference that the four victims were “executed” after being “led” into the basement. There was no evidence that the victims had been bound in any way.

“Sadly, all four of these individuals were executed, there’s no ifs, ands, or buts about it,” Ross said. “This is an absolutely evil thing to do. There is no way in the world people should have met their demise this way.”

Officials have not released the identities of the victims, but one was a 31-year-old man, one a 20-year-old women, one a man between 20 and 30 years old and one a woman between 30 and 40 years old. All four people were black, according to police.

A neighbor told police that loud “bangs” were heard from the house Sunday, but were not investigated.

Ross said officials are still looking for witnesses and any surveillance video in the area that could have caught something on camera.

No motivation is known yet and a suspect has not been publicly identified.
