Seven persons from the western end of Jamaica were this week taken into custody by detectives from Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) for their suspected involvement in the illicit lottery scam.
MOCA detectives have reported that over a three day period they have conducted several operations in Trelawny, Hanover and St Elizabeth.
During searches of the premises several items used in lottery scamming were allegedly seized and the persons reportedly detained.
The individuals are expected to be interviewed in the presence of their attorneys as investigations continue.
