Police arrested four teenagers on Sunday after they were found in possession of two firearms in Cotton Tree Gully, Hayes, Clarendon.
Reports from the Hayes police are that about 3:30 pm, a team of officers was on patrol when the four were accosted and searched. The weapons – one Browning 9mm pistol loaded with nine 9mm rounds and one Rossi .38 revolver with three .38 rounds – were found in a lunch bag they were carrying.
Their identities are being withheld at this time.
Yet people stress the police when they rough them up on the road and encourage them to go school. I’ve been in the classroom in Jamaica and I can tell you, many lads there are far from angels. I remember days when quite a few students were missing and I would hear that them have ‘things’ dealing with in their respective areas.. Even taught one of the clansmen a few years aback… (he was quite respectful to me though) … and I taught at a prominent traditional high school….
Only a careless person would give those underage yutes guns to hold or carry. They don’t even understand life.
