A Inyathi man, Bishop Moyo stabbed his wife with a spear six times after catching her in bed with a lover.
Moyo had returned to his homestead on March 24 around 8 pm from a beer drink onto to find his wife- Tracy Moyo in bed with Bongani Tshuma, B-Metro reported.
According to the paper, in a fit of rage, Moyo drew a spear and attacked and stabbed Tracy six times.
However, Tshuma managed to flee.
In court before magistrate Ndumo Masuku, Moyo said he was provoked into stabbing his wife.
“Your worship I was angry after catching my wife in bed with another man. There is no man who would be happy to see his wife sleeping with another man,” said Moyo.
However, magistrate Masuku sentenced Moyo to 24 months in jail of which six months were suspended on condition of good behaviour.
