SPIRITUAL WARFARE PART 6- GOOD MORNING

Spiritual warfare 101 Pt. 6
Spiritual ignorance has place many of us in positions that we would prefer not to be in. It has been my experience that folks would much rather hold on to a tradition that has consistently not work for them than to follow the principles laid out in scripture by God that will ultimately change their negative circumstances.

Spiritual warfare is just that “SPIRITUAL WARFARE” which ultimately suggest that you’re in a war and just like any war, one must be attired for that war. Spiritual warfare is an invisible war therefore our warfare gear must also be invisible. Unfortunately, the majority of Christians rarely outfit themselves with their warfare gear when entering into battle and as a result they are defeated by the devil and his soldiers who understands warfare and the preparation for that war.

We are commanded by scripture that prior to engaging in spiritual warfare we must, “Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” Ephesians 6:11. To amplify the importance of this the apostle Paul repeats this same command in Ephesians 6:13, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand”

Now, isn’t it interesting that the apostle Paul is making these statements to Believers of Jesus Christ and not sinners. In fact he was addressing the church of Ephesus. I am pointing this out simply because it dispels the erroneous mindset that being a Christian or believer of Jesus Christ automatically protects us from evil or make the devil leaves us alone.

In fact during the course of this invisible war that we refer to as spiritual warfare the absence of our spiritual armor will give the Enemy not only the upper hand over us but eventually destroy us. Therefore spiritual warfare dictates that we must put on the entire armor of God if it is our desire to successfully stand against the wiles of the devil. I am sure your next question is, how do we get this armor on? Well, we pray the armor of God on us prior to going to sleep at night and upon waking in the morning. Could it be that you were defeated and bombarded by the devil today or even yesterday simply because you were in warfare without your spiritual armor?

In fact because you did not see any physical projectiles coming at you, you though you were in the clear. While totally ignoring that our fight as soldiers of Jesus Christ is spiritual and not physical. In this war my friend we must look pass those things that are physical and focus our attention on the spirits that’s operating behind the physical, because this is where the true war is located.

Scripture clearly, reminds us of the following, “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life (He’s not focus on what is physical) that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier” 2 Timothy 2:4. Scripture further reminds us as it relates to this invisible war of the following, “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” 2 Corinthians 4:18.

Please, cover yourself and your love ones with the only outfit that is capable of protecting you from the invisible opponents that are relentless in destroying you.
