Matt Barnes got himself lit up by Rihanna today because he didn’t put the lid on a rumor that the two were dating. In a TMZ video, Barnes coyly said that he and Rihanna were, “just past the crush stage.” Plus, his ex Gloria Govan entertained the thought by saying she was cool with the two dating as long as she gets free tickets (“Bitch better have my tickets”).
The problem here is that Rihanna isn’t cool with the thought. She posted an unflattering picture of Barnes and slandered him with a variety of hashtags: “#shesneverevenmetyou #thisactuallyhurtmyfeelings #defamationofcharacter” So not only is that a no, but Rihanna is apparently claiming she’s never met Barnes (and no, Twitter shoutouts don’t count).
She hasn’t shut down the rumors about F1 driver Lewis Hamilton. The two have been spotted multiple times together, including the Barbados street festival.
