Former Jamaica Labour Party councillor Don Creary and his alleged accomplice, 22-year-old Shaneke Williams, are about to be brought into court for a hearing on rape and sex charges.
Their attorney, Tom Tavares-Finson, had said a bail application would be made when his clients appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.
Our reporter says the courtroom is being cleared for the hearing of the matter which is to be conducted in private because of the nature of the allegations.
Creary, 48, is charged with rape while Williams is charged with aiding and abetting and sexual touching.
They were both arrested and charged on Tuesday.
Tavares Finson says his clients deny any wrongdoing.
