THE EDITOR, Sir:
As Christians, we cannot continue to participate in, and listen to, churches knowing that what these leaders do is wrong and false. We then become guilty of idol worshipping and not worshippers of the true and living God.
Recently, I sat in a congregation where the church was asked to relocate to another premises, based on a court order. The pastor/prophet/apostle, who is extremely upset to move from a location where he has operated from for several years, then proceeded to tell the congregation that he had put a curse on the board of management of the Strata Corporation and that its business would fail as a result of the organisation taking him to court.
Some of the people were stunned at these utterances. How can this be in the body of Christ? This leader always puts a curse on whoever he is vexed with or if they leave his church.
This was so upsetting I had to leave. I also had to repent before God for the years I sat in this ministry being guilty of worshipping a man and not God.
This cannot be of Christ.
