A Manchester farmer and two St Elizabeth farmers have been charged by the St Elizabeth Proactive Investigations Unit under the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transactions) (Special Provisions) Act with Knowingly Possessing Identity Information on December 2.
They are: 29-year-old Kenroy ‘Bupsy’ Banton, farmer of Gazeland district, St Elizabeth, 28-year-old Demar ‘Frass’ Spencer, farmer of Farm district, Manchester and 20-year-old Richard ‘Juvie’ Grant, farmer of Top Hill district, St Elizabeth.
Reports are that about 4:30 a.m., an operation was conducted in the Bellevue Housing Scheme in St Elizabeth, during which a premises occupied by the men was searched; six cellular phones and sheets of paper containing identity information of persons living in the United States of America was found.
Additionally, paraphernalia related to lottery scamming activities to include cellular phones were also seized.
The men were subsequently arrested and charged.
