Detectives in the Manchester Division arrested two women on the Spur Tree main road in the parish for breaches of the Dangerous Drug Act on Wednesday, January 20.
Reports are that about 11:20 p.m., lawmen were on operation when a Nissan motor vehicle, in which the women were travelling, was stopped. The vehicle was searched and two packages containing cocaine weighing approximately 4.4 pounds with an estimated street value of JMD 3.5 million was seized.
Consequently, both women were arrested however their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
