Holy Trinity Manning Cup footballer Jordan Foote, who was diagnosed with bone cancer and had his leg amputated last year, is to undergo another operation later this week.
Foote has been hospitalized for the past three weeks, due to complications in his lungs which was affecting his ability to breathe.
The development comes after the 17 year old had his left leg amputated five inches above the knee after being diagnosed with the cancer in his knee prior to the start of the 2015 ISSA/Flow Manning Cup season.
Prior to being amputated, Foote was an integral member of the Holy Trinity team that made it to the 2014 Lime Super Cup final.
Several organizations had donated money towards helping to pay for the surgical procedure on the youngster, who has not been able to attend school because of the disease.
