American tourist drowns at Winifred beach, Portland
A 72 year old American male tourist today (Wednesday) drowned at Winifred beach in Portland.
He has been identified as Robert Nelson.
According to police reports shortly after 3 pm Nelson was at the beach with friends when he went for a swim. He went into difficulty and was taken from the water. He was rushed to the Port Antonio hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
