It was reported by CVM news two days a go that a family was protesting in front of Tranquility funeral home. When interviewed, the family said their loved one had been shot by the police and the body was sent to the funeral home. His funeral was planned for March 3rd. The family was tipped off that their loved one was about to be buried and upon arriving at the funeral home, the family discovered that their loved one was embalmed and following an embalming, no autopsy could be done.
The family was told by Tranquility Homes that once they got paid, their duty was to embalm, then bury. Tranquility said they received payment from the government so they proceeded to embalm the body for burial. Police was said to have chased the family out of the home and they returned with additional people to protest. The funeral is now scheduled for the 13th of March
