A man who used his car to block another motorist and then assault him, before robbing him of his chain, was remanded when he appeared in the St. Elizabeth Parish Court on Thursday.
Fitzroy Bennett, who is charged with assault and robbery, is to return to court on May 22.
The court was told that the complainant Kerron Reid was driving his motorcar along the Biscayne main road in Newton on February 28, when Mr. Bennett used his motorcar to block his path.
The court was further told that Mr. Reid was assaulted by Mr Bennett who accused him of owing him money.
It was reported that Mr Bennett then pulled a chain from Mr. Reid’s neck valued at $40,000.
