Jamaican police probing Haitian gun find
The police in Jamaica are trying to determine how an assault rifle which is suspected to belong to the Haitian police force ended up in Rockfort, East Kingston.
Shortly after one o’clock Sunday morning the police received reports of an intense gun battle between rival gangs in a section of East Kingston.
It’s understood that a man was shot in the groin.
During a subsequent police operation the AK47 rifle was seized. The words “Police National D’Haiti” are inscribed on it.
The police, in the meantime, are trying to contact two Rockfort residents who they believe can assist them in their investigation into the upsurge in crime in the area.
They are Dwayne Barrett alias ‘Nooksie’ and Andrew Facey also known as “Andrew Pang”.
