GANG MEMBER IN POLICE CUSTODY

A member of the One Voice Gang is in police custody following an early morning operation in Mount Pleasant, Hanover.

The gang has been linked to several murders in the parish.

Sharon Beeput, Deputy Superintendent in charge of the Hanover Police, told RJR News that an M16 rifle with five live rounds was seized during the operation.

On Friday night, the police fatally shot the alleged leader of the One Voice Gang, 33 year-old Shenarda Leslie, in Green Island, Hanover.

He was wanted for 15 murders in the parish.
