There has been another deadly attack by gunmen in St. James.
Five persons were shot, two fatally, in Salt Spring about 3:30 Monday afternoon.
They were at a shop when gunmen opened fire at them.
They were taken to hospital where one man succumbed to his injuries. A second person succumbed to injuries on Tuesday morning.
The identities of the deceased have not been released.
Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, head of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit, said the police have begun their investigation into the incident and several operations were carried out in the community on Monday night into Tuesday morning to locate the suspects.
She said, so far, police leads indicate that the suspects are connected to a gang, the leader of which is in custody and was booked to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
The police are trying to determine if his court appearance is related to the shooting.
Superintendent Lindsay said those shot were not witnesses in the gang leader’s case.

The community a kill off them one another, if the communities are not willing to work out thier differences peacefully, government cant stop crime. Crime starts eith us who live in communities and the crime can only stop with us who live in communities. Some people think dem too bad n others think them badder and always a prove point by killing, only sad thing a few innocent ones always get caught in the cross fire. People some a uno too blood clath aggressive n evil das y uno mek gunmen kill a next person or them family because uno think them diss uno, or uno mek man kill prople ova dead leff, land, lotto scamming money.
