A 30-year-old jealous man from Guruve allegedly axed his wife to death on Thursday morning (yesterday) after accusing her of prostitution, Bulawayo24.com has learnt.
Eye witnesses allege the gruesome murder occurred in Kufema village, Bakasa, Guruve, where Passmore Zamharo (30) reportedly struck his wife Dorothy Tsabora (25) twice in the head resulting in her death.
“We heard noise at Zamharo’s homestead since the couple was having a domestic dispute, the dispute came about after Zamharo accused his wife Tsabora of prostitution.
“Tsabora is said to have left the place a day before coming to pack her belongings. Upon seeing that his wife had given up on their marriage Zamharo is believed to have picked an axe and killed his wife before fleeing from the place,” explained Liberty Gondo.
Meanwhile, the body has been taken to Guruve hospital for post-mortem and Zamharo is currently on the run.
Apparently the deceased left behind a 3 months old baby.
