MR HOLNESS I WOULD LOVE TO ASK YOU SOMETHING ABOUT WALKERS PLACE OF SAFETY ……….

Information came in via residents that live in the vicinity of where the home was once located and they are alleging that the two children that died were not attended to in time. They are alleging that the two girls were considered ”problem children” and were kept together away from the other children because they were harder to control than the others. Other allegations are that the fire started in the wing where both girls were located and because they were locked in they could not get out and the others were let out before them even though the fire started on their side.

My question is this…….since the residents could be wrong…….but I would like to know how one person could be in charge of 36 children? Why was one person allowed to run the home? How is it possible that one person would be able to save every one in the case of an emergency like what happened on January 16? The home has been in operation for over 45 years but it shouldn’t have to take a fire for anyone to see that 36 children are way too much for one person to cater to properly..

  1. I co-sign on this statement it’s impossible for one person to be in charge of 36 kid’s where they do that at???? Some accountability must must be had and it should start from the very top

  2. This was my last place of work before I left Jamaica five years ago,and I refuse to believe what this sender is saying because the manager and her second in command lives there and her second used to go home on weekends, plus two house mother at night one for upstairs where the boys sleeps and the other down stairs with the girls I don’t know if things changed in regards to the house mother, but the statement one person to 36 kids is not true miss j and miss G lives in the same house and the rooms are not far from each other
