The teenager who was detained in connection with the deadly fire on Booby Drive in St. Andrew last month has been released from custody.
Three children died in the blaze.
The 18 year old was released on the weekend pending further investigations. She is facing charges of manslaughter and negligence.
It is understood that the children’s mother left them in the care of her 18 year old daughter and went to work.
RJR News was informed that the teenager asked her 13 year old sibling to monitor the children and later went out.
The fire, which occurred about 12:50 on the morning of January 27, claimed the lives of one year old twins Jivaughne and Juvaugne Bennett and two year old Krisante Maxwell.
Two other children were hospitalised.
