WOMAN DIES IN SUSPECTED ARSON IN ACCOMPONG ST ELIZABETH

The St. Elizabeth police are investigating a suspected case of arson and murder after a woman died in a house fire in Accompong, St. Elizabeth Friday morning.

She has been identified as 39 year old shopkeeper Jermaine Lennon, otherwise called Marsha.

A man said to be her common law husband was found unconscious outside the one bedroom concrete structure.

He has been admitted in hospital.

Residents saw smoke coming from the house shortly before 6 o’clock and alerted the Fire Department.

Ms Lennon’s remains were found inside the house under a burnt mattress.
