SALT OF THE EARTH
Daily Prayer Times: 5:30am, 12noon, 6:00pm, 9:00pm
“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot of men” (Matthew 5:13).
When God looked upon the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, He said, if He could just count 10 tiny lights, He would spare them (Genesis 18:20-32). Every nation has its own peculiar problems but the greatest challenge is the inability of the lights in those nations to shine. As light, your duty is to shine. Now the question is; are you shining in your little corner in this world? Can God see you as a light when He looks at your direction amidst the darkness? Receive that ability to shine by the power of the Holy Ghost. You will not fail God, in Jesus name.
Being the salt of the earth, you should research into your origin, make restitution where necessary, take authority in the name of Jesus Christ and break the curses that are affecting you. What is that persistent ailment or condition that has become a tradition in your family or lineage? The Bible is saying in the opening scripture (see quotation in italics above) that you should take charge, as salt of the earth.
Moses became the deliverer of the children of Israel from the severe oppression at the hand of Pharaoh and his taskmasters. The desire to liberate the children of Israel from the deplorable conditions under which they lived in Egypt spurred him to action. Esther also changed the destiny of her people by rescuing the Jews from the mass annihilation plotted by Haman. Choose to make a difference in your world today. Take action, accept the responsibility to confront any unpleasant situation in that your job, family, finance, lineage and marriage.
In Matthew 5:13, Jesus calls you the salt of the earth. As salt, you are the purifier, preserver and sweetener of your family, community or nation. This means that your presence can make the difference and bring solutions to that bitterness, decay and death in your life. You are a life-giver; it means you can turn curses into blessings. A long standing curse that affected so many lives in Jericho suddenly terminated when a salt of the earth-Elisha stepped into the scene (2 Kings 2:19-22).
Today, some communities still have a particular curse operating against people from those locations. It is your duty as the salt of the earth in these domains to break the curses afflicting the people. God has given you that ability; He has enabled you:
“And the Lord said unto him, surely I will be with thee and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man” (Judges 6:16)
Your presence in a bus, car, aircraft, train or ship can prevent a fatal accident or preserve lives even when an accident occurs. Those who live near you should be benefiting from your Angelic body- guards. Your presence in that family, business or job should bring liberation to any curse working against people, which is the main reason God placed you there. Become a deliverer in your time, stand in the gap and cause tremendous changes to happen. Receive that grace now, in Jesus name.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for making me the salt of the earth and a light to my world.
I take authority in the name of Jesus to dispel every form of darkness in and around me, in the name of Jesus.
Wherever I go, I function as a light, in Jesus name.
Liberation Thought: I am the light to my world. Hallelujah!
