Case management hearing set for Clansman gang members
A judge is to begin case management hearing on July 20 in the case brought against Andre Bryan, the alleged leader of the Clansman gang, and six members of his criminal network.
The date was set Friday when the defendants appeared before the Home Circuit Court.
They were remanded until the hearing.
Mr. Bryan, alias Blackman, was charged in March during a clampdown on members of the Spanish Town based gang.
He has been charged under the anti-gang legislation.
The other six members, including Bryan’s mother, Millicent Brown, are also charged under the act.
Prosecutors who have strongly opposed bail for the accused, reported last month that Bryan’s 53 year-old mother operated the multi-million dollar extortion arm of the gang in Spanish Town.
The gang members have also been accused of murders and shootings in the parish.
The other accused are Alicia Brown, Davion Edwards, Kevaughn Green, Boswell Rhoden and Sackone Haynes.
